James Barraza, Segundo barrio, El Paso – June 30, 2008
James Barraza prowls the Segundo barrio with his Bible and attempts to spread “the good word.” The barrio is predominantly Catholic. He is standing in front of the gym of the Sagrado Corazon Catholic church. On his New Testament is the flag of Israel. Mr. Barrazas is pressed, shined, proud and smiley, an impressive man, committed to his mission. There seems to be no uncertainty to him. He is a happy warrior for Jesus. His clarity is refreshing. It was a nice exchange.
