 Funny thing about photography and time: it can capture milliseconds and it can capture decades, and all in the same photograph. Above everything, I like sticking to one subject and revisiting it over long periods of time. I am not sure my understanding of a subject expands. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. But, for sure, things do change over time. The photos of Amada are about Amada, but, I was there. I am part of that history. I am. Yo soy. I exist.
Maybe that’s why a lot of photographers are photographers: to be part of time whether it’s a moment or more.
